A few days ago my husband and I spent the whole day just enjoying each other's company....in different ways ;), ha ha!... it was truly fun to have my husband's humor, love, and personality around me. I love him, especially when he is himself. And sometimes, that is hard to get! Being ourselves or having others be themselves around us can just be like pulling teeth from a dinosaur's mouth!- and
that's tough, 'cuz you can't even reach at times!....
he doesn't want to hurt my feelings, I don't want to hurt his, he doesn't want to be vulnerable, I don't want to be assertive... yadda yadda yadda. Urrrrgh, so frustrating, huh? I'm sure you have experienced this if you have someone...anyone...a person... if you are living in this planet you have or will run across this...in your life. But anywayssssss, in the evening we cuddled and just enjoyed each other's company. I was smiling at him admiring his cuteness, and he returns a gaze and says, "You're weird". I burst into laughter! "Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, <big grin, pre-burst o' laugh> what do you mean?" "You like guys with shortcomings and bunny personalities." "Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! I guess that's true!"
* a little history marker (like the ones on the side of the road): I call my husband "bunny" because he is a sweetheart, is tender hearted, loves to cuddle, and is as hairy as a bunny... no, I mean, he loves to get really close to me.
Today as I was in Sunday School I remembered something pretty special. One afternoon I was thinking just how different and weird people are... some are really funny, really serious, really dorky, really smart, really personable, really this or that... then the Lord said to me, in summary, " Every face that you see and every personality that you encounter is ME." Woah, wow! "Yeah, they all came from Me, so literally, personalities and faces are all ME, they were made in the image of Me." WOW! Cool! So now, it makes even more special to encounter your weird face or personality, or you encounter mine! Lol! Doesn't that make you feel better? Hahaha! Oh goodness...love you bunches!
